IKENNE-REMO: The Chairman, Transition Committee, Ikenne LG, Hon. Rotimi Akinsanya, has said that his administration is determined to maintain and provide infrastructural facilities that will further improve the quality of lives of the people of the area.

Akinsanya stated this recently while answering questions from newsmen, in his office, after the inspection of projects sites, at Irolu and Ilisan towns, in the LG area.
His words; “My administration has renewed her determination to maintain & provide infrastructural facilities that will further improve the quality of lives of our people.”
The Chairman thanked the State Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, the Speaker and members of the Ogun State House of Assembly, for their genuine efforts and contributions towards the tenure extension for the services, being rendered by the Chairmen and members of the LG Transition Committees, at the grassroots.
Hon Akinsanya, congratulated the Governor and his Deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako- Oyedele, on their one year of remarkable achievements in office, which incidentally, coincided with the 60th birthday anniversary of His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun on Friday, May 29, 2020, thereby, wishing the Governor more fruitful years of service, in good health, wisdom and sound mind.
On the just concluded 2020 Children Day Celebration, Hon. Akinsanya felicitated the Children, observed that, though, the event was low-key, due to Covid-19 pandemic, both the state and local governments, according to the Chairman, still held the Children in high esteem in their plans and therefore, enjoined them to key into the state government online education programmes and adhere strictly to Covid-19 preventive measures.
Speaking earlier during inspection of projects sites, Hon. Akinsanya disclosed that construction of lockup shops and open stalls would soon commence at Ilisan, while rehabilitation work on borehole and electrification of Health Center, Irolu, would start soon.
Commending Hon. Akinsanya on his good initiatives, Alhaji Taofeek Elegbojo, the Babaloja of Ilisan market, assured the chairman of the support of the market men and women, through payment of necessary taxes, levies and dues, notwithstanding the prevailing economic situation, occasioned by the ravaging Covid-19 pandemic.
