ABEOKUTA: Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele has urged Chinese Entrepreneurs in the State to support all government policies in the management of CoronaVirus, ravaging the nation.
According to a press release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l magazine & www.startrendinternational.com by Oluwaseun Boye, Press Officer, Office of the Deputy Governor, Engr. Salako-Oyedele gave the charge while receiving two cheques from Ogun Guangdong Free Trade Zone, Igbessa and Chinese Entrepreneurs Community in her Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta office as part of the organisation’s contributions to support the government in the management of the pandemic in the State.
The Deputy Governor noted that, as employers, it was important for them to educate their staffers on preventive measures, in order to help reduce the impact of the virus in the State and the Country at large.
She added that the state government was doing all possible means to provide succour and managing the pandemic, with the establishment of more isolation centres to prevent possible surge of community transmission, while enforcing lockdown as well as providing palliative materials to cushion the effects on the people.
Earlier in his presentation, the General Manager of Ogun Guangdong Free Trade Zone, Igbessa, Mr. Hanson Huang, who presented a cheque of N2m said, Ogun has been a reliable partner for most private sectors, adding that the Free Trade Zone would continue to synergize with government in the fight against COVID-19.
Chinese Entrepreneurs Community, represented by its Deputy General Manager, Mr. Daniel Wei Chei also presented a cheque of N3.5m to the State Government.
