Strengthening Police-Labour Relations: CP Dantawaye Welcomes NLC Chairman In Kogi (+photos)

LOKOJA, KOGI STATE, NIGERIA – The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Miller G. Dantawaye, psc, on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, received a delegation from the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) during a courtesy visit.

The NLC delegation was led by the Kogi State Council Chairman, Comrade Gabriel Amari, who represented the interests of the organized labour community during the official visit.

According to a statement e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l magazine and online platform by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP William Ovye Aya, the visit was aimed at fostering and strengthening the existing relationship between the Nigeria Police Force and the Labour Union in Kogi State.

He further emphasized the importance of collaboration in ensuring peace, security, and the promotion of workers’ welfare across the state.

Amari promised that the Kogi State Labour Union will continue to partner with the Police to ensure law and order prevail in the State.

In his response, CP Miller G. Dantawaye warmly welcomed the delegation and assured them of the Command’s unwavering commitment to providing the necessary support and maintaining a cordial working relationship with the Labour Union.

He also reaffirmed the Command’s readiness to collaborate with the NLC in areas of mutual interest for the betterment of the state.

The meeting ended on a positive note, with both parties expressing willingness to work together towards peace, progress, and development in Kogi State.
