ILARO-YEWA, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – A special prayer session, organized by the Ilaro-Yewa League of Muslim Community, took place on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at the Ilaro Central Mosque praying ground, located in the Oke-Ela area of Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State, following the celebration of Eid-el-Fitri.

Muslim faithful from all walks of life gathered at the venue as early as 6 am, eager to participate in the significant event.

The prayer session was led by Imam AbdulRauf Bibire of the Bibire Central Mosque, Oke-Ola, Ilaro-Yewa, who was joined by other Islamic clerics in a marathon prayer session for the leaders and residents of Nigeria, Ogun State, Yewaland, and Ilaro Town.

During the sermon, Alhaji (Sheik) Imam Tajudeen Mustapha-Adewunmi, the Chief Imam of the Ilaro Central Mosque, urged the congregation to remain pious in their actions beyond Ramadan.

He emphasized the importance of continuing to observe the five daily prayers and showing kindness to others.

Imam Mustapha-Adewunmi also prayed for God’s infinite mercy and asked that the good prayers offered by the congregation be accepted by Allah.

The event also featured a recitation of the Holy Quran by a group of Alfas.

Alhaji (Sheik) Imam Badmus Adegbite of Ansair-Ud-Deen Mosque, Ilaro-Yewa, informed the gathering that the funds raised from previous special prayers had been used to purchase a parcel of land in Ilaro-Yewa for the propagation of Islam.

However, he noted that the committee still required over Three Million Naira to complete the payment for the land.

Imam Adegbite has called on members of the congregation to continue supporting the cause, particularly in helping to settle the outstanding balance. He offered prayers, asking God to replenish the purse of all those who have donated generously. He also prayed that God will assist those who are willing to give but currently lack the means to do so.

He also shared the account details for contributions – Bank: Wema Bank Plc
