AYETORO-YEWA – In a bid to improve teaching and learning conditions at Ayetoro Science and Technical College, Ayetoro, some Indigenes had sunk a bore hole and donated cash to the College.
The Principal of the College, Mr Adeoye Akinlotan who disclosed this in a release made available to newsmen said the gesture would afford the Teachers and the students a drinkable water supply devoid of water borne disease.
Akinlotan described technical education as acquisition of demonstrated skill that could be transformed into economic benefit and sustainable livelihood, soliciting other stakeholders to emulate the donors so as to surmount the challenges in the college.
He appreciated the donors, Chief John Adeniran who sunk the bore hole, Kayode Akintola, Aremo Gbenga Olusoji, Isreal Adeogun as well as former Ogun State Head of Service, Elder Sola Adeyemi for the cash donation toward the erection of scaffolding and extension of the water within the college.
Speaking on behalf of the donors, Chief John Adeniran noted that the project was intended to add value to the teaching and learning process in the college, advising the beneficiaries to make proper use and ensure its adequate maintenance.
In his remark, the Chairman Parent Teachers Association (PTA), Chief Opeyemi Opebiyi, expressed gratitude to the donors for the gesture to ameliorate non availability of portable water in the College.
