ABUJA – Some notable Nigerians were honoured with various awards at the Global Impacts Awards 2021 which took place in March 2021.
The event which was organised to encourage integrity, excellent leadership qualities, humanitarian services, positive impact and professionalism in different fields was cheered by the excellent performance of Pennywealth, Efresh, and Junior Tamba.
It was also designed to bring to the center stage, for celebration, notable individuals and brands that have made and still making positive impacts around the world.
The event also featured a discussion titled: “Becoming Proactive in a Changing Economy” and was deliberated upon by a panelists that consisted of Sen. Shehu Sani, Dr Philip Hayap, and Comrade John Isaac (Sirjay).
Some of crème of the society at the prestigious Hotel Interconnect, Abuja to graced the event include Nollywood screen goddess and humanitarian, Tonto Dikeh; Nollywood Superstar Emeka Ike; Senator Shehu Sani; Nollywood veteran, Tony Goodman; Amb. Chris Odey; Radio presenter, Cool FM, Beevan Magoni; Dr. Philip Hayap; CEO, Hitmakers TV Ghana, Baron Meezy; Founder, Kaduna Int’l Film Festival, Israel Kashim Audu; Northern producer & Chairperson Northern Filmmakers Association, Kaduna Chapter (NFAN) and Zeena Bako among others.
The award recipients are Sen. Shehu Sani as Human Rights Defender of the Year; King Tonto Dikeh – Global Humanitarian Celebrity of the Year; Emeka Ike – Global Icon of the Year; Tony Goodman – Lifetime achievement Award; Dangana Haruna Ibrahim – Special Recognition Award; Dr Chetachi Ecton – Global Female Philanthropist of the Year; Adejoke Akinseye – Humanitarian Icon of the Year; RADi – NGO of the Year; Pwhite Chukwu – Cultural Influencer of the Year; Tushbee – Most Charitable Celebrity of the Year; AIG Ahmed Iliyasu – Security Man of the Year; Alhaji Prince Adebayo S. Apelogun – National Motorcycle Union Leader of the Year and Arikya Isa Yunusa, Award of Excellence.
Others include Ujam Chukwunonso – Outstanding Actor of the Year; Dr Mailafia – Intergrity Man of the year; Channels TV – Most Proactive TV Station of the Year; Isaac John Sirjay – Youth Leader of the Year; Funkiest Mallam – Northern Music Legend of the Year; Hon. Samson Monday Dikko – Award of Excellence; Bello Bissalla – Award of Excellence; Hitmakers TV Ghana – Most Entertaining TV of the Year; Zeena S. Bako – Most Supportive Northern Producer of the Year; Rabby Bray, Ghana, – Most Innovative TV Programme Producer of the Year; Yosi Ango – Award of Excellence; Yakubu Egyom – Award of Excellence; Epixode (Ghana) – Best Music Artist of the Year; Atwine Allen (Uganda) – Most impactful Entertainment Icon of the Year; Mandisa Monica Mtolo (South Africa) – Global Educator of the Year among others.
