IBADAN, OYO STATE NIGERIA – In a heartfelt gesture of appreciation, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, fondly known as Yayi and currently representing Ogun West in the National Assembly, has extended his sincere thanks to God, his family, friends, supporters and well-wishers for the overwhelming love and support shown to him during his 56th birthday celebration held on Sunday, August 10, 2025.
Senator Adeola, who is also the Chairman of the Senate Appropriation Committee, shared a deeply personal message of gratitude from the United States, where he marked the special occasion with his family and close associates.
“It was truly a celebration galore as I commemorated my 56th birthday in the United States with loved ones – my family, friends, supporters, and well-wishers.
“I was also joyfully celebrated in Abeokuta, Ilaro, Ijebu Igbo – all in Ogun State – as well as Abuja. I am immensely grateful to Almighty God and to all my people across the world for their continued support and prayers”, he said.
Back home in Nigeria, supporters and admirers of the senator organized surprise birthday gatherings in multiple locations to honour the milestone, reflecting the deep affection and respect many hold for him.
These celebrations served as platforms not just for festivity, but for expressing their prayers and goodwill for his continued success in both personal and political endeavours.
A particularly remarkable celebration was held in Ilaro-Yewa, the senator’s hometown, where a large crowd gathered in his honour.
