LAGOS, NIGERIA – Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, issued a stark warning to President Bola Tinubu on Sunday, August 25, 2024, urging him to embrace restructuring to rejuvenate Nigeria’s weary democratic system.
In a statement released by his Media Aide, Oluwatosin Osho, Primate Ayodele highlighted the urgent need for various forms of restructuring to revitalize Nigeria’s political and economic framework.
He emphasized that such changes would positively impact Tinubu’s administration and earn him the gratitude of the nation’s citizens.
Primate Ayodele called for comprehensive restructuring, including economic, geopolitical, and security reforms, as well as adjustments to the nation’s ethnic and political structures.
He suggested that the current challenges facing Nigeria were not merely financial but stemmed from a deeper dissatisfaction among the nation’s foundational spirits.
“The problem of Nigeria isn’t the dollar,” Primate Ayodele said. “What we are facing is a result of the forces holding Nigeria together being unhappy with the current system.”
According to him, the current system that governs Nigeria has metaphorically “retired” and is now calling for significant restructuring.
He warned that failure to address these issues would exacerbate the country’s problems, affecting Tinubu’s policies and the overall stability of the nation.
“Whether Tinubu likes it or not, the system will demand it, and the people will call for it,” he added. “Don’t be misled by external influences like the IMF.
“The country needs restructuring urgently to move forward. Act now before it’s too late.”
