PEPC Verdict: Tinubu Calls For Unity In Building Nigeria

ABUJA – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed his commitment to delivering a unified, peaceful, and prosperous Nigeria, following the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja.

In a statement signed by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, President Tinubu welcomes the tribunal’s judgment with a renewed sense of responsibility, pledging to serve all Nigerians regardless of their political affiliations, faiths, or tribal backgrounds.

The President acknowledges the diligence, thoroughness, and professionalism of the five-member tribunal led by Justice Haruna Tsammani in interpreting the law.

The statement reads in part, “The President affirms his dedication to the rule of law and the tribunal’s unhindered discharge of duties, which reflects the maturation of Nigeria’s legal system and the progress of Africa’s largest democracy, especially when democratic systems are being tested elsewhere on the continent.”

President Tinubu commends the presidential candidates and political parties for their lawful participation in the 2023 general elections and the subsequent judicial process, reinforcing Nigeria’s democratic credentials.

He urged his challengers to inspire their supporters to prioritize patriotism over partisan considerations, fostering support for the government’s efforts to improve the livelihoods of all Nigerians.

President Tinubu expressed gratitude to Nigerians for the mandate given to him to serve the country and pledged to meet and exceed their expectations through diligent hard work with the dedicated team in place, guided by the grace of God Almighty.
