IBADAN – A chieftain of Accord Party, Mr Opeyemi Fatola has heightened call for unity and politics without bitterness, as he left the Party for People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan.
Opeyemi who was welcomed to PDP by the Micheal Omotosho-led executives of ward 12, Ibadan South West constituency 2 described PDP as the only and truly national party in Nigeria.
He stated that PDP is the only party that could help him realise his dreams as an intending public servant with burning desire to impact positively on the society.
Opeyemi stressed that his exit from Accord Party was without ill-feeling, but for the fact that he aimed to play politics on a bigger platform and realise his cardinal objective.
The USA licenced real estate consultant called for support to PDP, pointing out that the masses stand to gain a lot from the party, reputed for it’s robust masses-oriented programme.
Welcoming Fatola to the party, Hon. Omotosho urged him to contribute towards upward mobility of PDP, using resources available to him alongside his wealth of experience in party politics.
Omotosho who was joined in the welcome team by other executive members described Fatola as a well-educated personality, entrepreneur and responsible family man that can be trusted.
