LAGOS, NIGERIA – Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has issued a significant prophecy regarding 2025, warning of a massive earthquake of unprecedented scale.
Speaking during the first Holy Ghost Night of the year on January 4, 2025, Adeboye urged Christians to seek divine protection and guidance during these turbulent times.
Delivering a sermon titled “The Glory Ahead,” Pastor Adeboye encouraged believers to remain steadfast in faith, assuring them that God’s plans for humanity remain unwavering.
“God isn’t in a hurry to take people to heaven because He needs them to fulfill His divine mission on earth,” he explained, urging his congregation to stay committed to their spiritual journey despite challenges.

The controversial image, shared by an X user identified as @Sarkideyforyou, went viral in December 2024. It depicted Pastor Adeboye in Islamic attire, standing before the Kaabah in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, with the caption, “Pastor Adeboye, may Allah guide you to the right path.”
The post garnered over 3.8 million views, 1,500 reposts, 1,800 comments, and 4,000 likes by December 22, 2024, sparking widespread reactions.
Rather than condemning the image, Adeboye used the moment to refocus attention on pressing global concerns. He urged Christians to pray for peace amid escalating international conflicts, emphasizing the need to avert another world war.
Adeboye highlighted the rising trend of mockery directed at men of God, cautioning that many who engage in such ridicule might not survive the year.
He stressed, however, that God desires repentance over the death of sinners, urging mockers to seek salvation.
In his message, Adeboye reminded his followers that despite global challenges, brighter days lie ahead for those who trust in God.
He called for unity, faith, and spiritual preparedness, offering hope and reassurance in the face of uncertain times.
