AYETORO -YEWA – Monarchs in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State have commended the Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun for his strides at distributing COVID-19 palliative materials to vulnerable at the grassroots, to cushion the effect of COVID-19 lockdown.
According to a release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l & online – www.startrendinternational.com by Lateef Akintunde, Zonal Information Officer, Ayetoro, the traditional rulers praised the Governor while speaking in separate interviews with newsmen in their various palaces, adjudging the gesture as humanitarian service.
The Abepa of Joga Orile, Oba Adeyemi Adekeye, lauded the Governor for sending top government functionaries to monitor the distribution of the palliative distributed to the needy, aged, widows, as well as the physically challenged, which to a large extent alleviated their plight during the lockdown.
Also speaking, the Adokun of Igan Okoto, Oba Mukail Salako, as well as the Aboro of Iboro, Oba Daniel Salako, thanked the government for the fumigation of public places, government offices and motor parks.
The monarchs acknowledged Governor Abiodun’s exemplary leadership by wearing face mask always in public places, observing social distancing, avoiding social gathering and many other rules.
They reminded their subjects that COVID-19 pandemic is not over, and people must continue to confront it, through the stipulated protocols, advising the them to shelve all forms of social engagements for now, while frequent hand washing, wearing of face mask and the use of sanitizer should be sustained.
