Oyebisi Oyelakun Joins Diamond Club As Family, Friends Celebrate Him In Style (+photos)

OGBOMOSO, OYO STATE, NIGERIA – The only thing that comes to us in life without effort is growing older.

This timeless truth explained the joy and gratitude that filled the air as immediate family members of Mr. Oyebisi Oyelakun gathered to celebrate his 60th birthday anniversary on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

To mark the milestone, Oyebisi’s sister, Mrs. Oyekemi Oyelakun-Wilson, Head, Media and Communication, Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan (FCAIB), his brothers, Oyekunle and Olateju Oyelakun, alongside a host of family members and friends, stormed the celebrant’s residence in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, in the early hours of the day to honour him as he joined the Diamond Club.

Speaking on behalf of the Oyelakun family of Ogbomoso, Mrs. Oyelakun-Wilson described the celebrant as a bridge builder and a lover of family, who consistently works for the progress and unity of the Oyelakuns and all those who cross his path.

She offered prayers for God’s continued blessings, good health, and long life for the celebrant.

In his remarks, Mr. Oyebisi Oyelakun expressed profound gratitude to God for sparing his life to witness his diamond jubilee in sound health, despite all the odds he had been through.

Filled with praise, he thanked God for His faithfulness and extended heartfelt appreciation to his Creator, his sister, brothers, friends, and well-wishers for their unwavering support throughout his life’s journey.

He prayed that God would grant him many more years in good health and abundant blessings, including his siblings, friends and well-wishers.

The low-key but memorable celebration was marked with thanksgiving, praise songs, and expressions of gratitude to God, making the occasion a deeply fulfilling and joyful one.
