Over 1000 Patients Benefit From KLM Sponsored Free Medical Outreach

OWODE-YEWA – Aseele Development Foundation (ADF) in collaboration with Kolawole Lawal Movement (KLM) held a medical outreach in Owode Yewa and Agosasa between October 11 and 14, October 2021.

Diagnostic tests such as Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS) for those suffering or suspected to be suffering from diabetes, urine test (Urinalysis), Lateral flow tests for suspected Covid-19 cases were carried out.

Patients were also given medications sourced from the United Kingdom for their ailments. The Medical Outreach was Coordinated by Mr Tunji Olaleye one of the Directors of Aseele Development Foundation.

A total of 1,310 patients that consisted both male and female, adults and children benefited from the outreach in the two communities.

Hon Kolawole Lawal who sponsored the programme was on hand to monitor the exercise where 14 patients also had surgical procedures ( 3 hydrocoelectomies, 6 herniotomies, 5 herniorraphies) that were carried out on them.

While addressing the patients, KLM as he’s fondly called explained that health is one of the key points of his AHEAD programme.

He promised that the programme was not a one off programme, but the first of many more to come, saying every area of the constituency will benefit from the programme at one time or the other.

KLM also expressed his appreciation to Dr. Olufemi Fatokun (Olutunu Medical Center Agosasa), Dr. Olufemi Oluwatayo (Hope Hospital, Owode Yewa) for not only making their facilities available for the programme, but also for actively participating and supporting the outreach with their resources.

Hon Kolawole Lawal is the Chairman of Aseele Development Foundation and honourable member, representing YEWA South/Ipokia Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.
