Osun Governorship Dispute: Tribunal To Deliver Judgment Jan. 27

OSOGBO – The Osun State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal has fixed January 27, 2023 to deliver judgment in the case between former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and Governor Ademola Adeleke.

It would be recalled that Oyetola, of the All Progressives Congress, had dragged Adeleke before the Tribunal over the July 16, 2022 election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the poll.

The Tribunal had after taking the written address of the parties in the suit said it would inform them of a date for the judgment.

A terse statement on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, said the Tribunal had fixed judgement for January 27, 2023 at 9am.

The case was filed by Oyetola and the APC against Adeleke, PDP and INEC.
