ILARO-YEWA – In preparation for the 2021/2022 Oronna-Ilaro Festival, the Sub-Committee responsible for Sisi Ilaro Beauty Pageant, Saturday, October 30, 2021, held the Auditioning of the twelve contestants at the swimming pool side of the Ilaro private residence of Oba (Dr) Kehinde Olugbenle MFR, (Agunloye IV), the Olu of Ilaro & Paramount Ruler of Yewaland.
The contestants, mainly young graduates from various institutions of learning across the country were drilled in the area of Communication Skills, and how best they know their communities.
They were also asked to catwalk, as well as to dance to different genre of music. They were served with a plate of jollof rice and cutlery each to know how good they are in table-manners.
The Committee at the end of the exercise ratified all the contestants for the Grand Finale coming up on Friday, November 19, 2021 where the 2021/2022 Sisi Ilaro would be unveiled at the Yewa Frontier Hotel, Ilaro-Ibese Road, Ilaro.
The Sub-Committee members which include Chief (Mrs.) Alaba Adewunmi (Chairperson), Prince Olusola Ojo (Secretary Emeritus), Chief Mrs Yemisi Oloyo (Chairperson Emeritus) Babatunde Ojo, Jeremiah Kusoro and two invited observers; Elhadj AbuSatar Idowu Hamed (Otun-Baaroyin of Ilaro-Yewa Designate), and Prince Akin Olugbenle, conscientiously monitored the exercise as being conducted by the panel of judges.
The contestants were AnuOluwapo Bankole, Temitope Ayeni, Aderonke Olugbenle, Olayinka Ayandokun, Olayide Osundiya, Funmilayo Ayinla, Yemisi Hazzan, Enitan Adeyemi, Mariam Ariyo, Adebimpe Opeyemi and Ayomikun Ojo, Sarah Sunday.
