OJA-ODAN, YEWA NORTH LG, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – The Secretary to the Yewa North Local Government, Comrade AbdulJabar Ayelagbe, has called on the youth of Oja-Odan to leverage their social networks to create an Education Trust Fund.

This initiative, he emphasized, would provide support for the less privileged in both educational and vocational training, positioning Oja-Odan to stand shoulder to shoulder with leading towns in the near future.

Comrade Ayelagbe made this call during the maiden edition of the Oja-Odan Youth Day, which took place at the Yewa North Local Government Primary School, Oja-Odan, in Ogun State.

He specifically commended the Oloja of Oja-Odan for his consistent support, which has served as a source of inspiration for the town’s youths.

The local government secretary stressed the need for quality education, a deep love for the town and its traditional institutions, and the rejection of religious bigotry.

He described these values as essential for sustainable development and social cohesion within the community.

The occasion was graced by an impressive array of dignitaries, including traditional rulers and community leaders.

Among them were Oloja of Oja-Odan; Olu of Imasayi; Aboro of Ibese; Oloola of Ilara; Alale of Ajilete; Oniwoye of Iwoye; Onijoun of Ijoun; Kabiyesi Elebute of Ebute and Olohunbe

Also present were Hon. Haruna Egungbohun (Member, Ogun State House of Assembly, Yewa North 2 Constituency), the State PRO of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Deputy President of the Yewa Youth Association, business leaders, and numerous other community stakeholders.

These events were designed to celebrate youthfulness, promote unity, and reinforce the cultural heritage of Oja-Odan.
