OGUN STATE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE KICK STARTS INTERVENTION ACTIVITIES AT IJEBU EAST LG

IJEBU-MUSHIN – The Kabiyesi of Ilodo Community, Oba (Engr.) Isiaka Olaide Ajede, Ogirimadagbo, Akin of Ilodo, Ijebu Mushin in Ijebu East Local Government played host to the team from the Ministry of Agriculture who were in the Community on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 to kick start 2021 Intervention activities.

The Ogun State Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Adeola Odedina and his team inspected the proposed Fish Farm Estate at Ilodo, monitored ongoing land clearing for youths in the community under the FGN/IFAD/OGUN Value Chain Development Programme (VCDP) for Cassava Opportunities and Inspected road repairs and culvets that linked communities and farms, for easy transportation to and fro farms,and also to markets.

The Aquaculture project is intended to engage a minimum of 450 young people and other numerous Value Chain Actors in the Community, in the first quarter of 2021. The Cassava land clearing site will be cultivated by these young farmers who had already been linked with Offtakers and the Industrial Process.
