Ogun Governor Celebrates Eid-el-Fitr With Muslim Faithful

ABEOKUTA, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has extended his warm felicitations to Muslim faithful on the occasion of the 2025 Eid-el-Fitr, acknowledging the spiritual enrichment that the Ramadan period has brought to the country.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Lekan Adeniran, on Sunday, March 30, 2025, in Abeokuta, the governor expressed appreciation for the prayers and devotion of Muslims across the nation.

He commended their commitment to placing Nigeria in the hands of Almighty Allah through supplication and acts of charity.

The governor urged them to sustain these noble deeds, stating, “The benefits are massive, and I know that the country has started reaping some of them.”

Abiodun also expressed gratitude to the Muslim community in Ogun State for their unwavering support for his administration.

He recognized their dedication to the growth and development of the state and assured them that their contributions would never be taken for granted.

“As a government, we remain committed to creating a society that all residents will be proud of, and I am extremely grateful that I can count on your support, wise counsel, and contributions”, he affirmed.

Addressing concerns about economic and security challenges in the country, the governor acknowledged the difficulties but emphasized that positive changes were already unfolding.

“With all the prayers, there is a positive charge and renewed commitment to national development on the part of the political leadership”, he noted.

Abiodun highlighted the significance of Eid-el-Fitr as an opportunity for Muslims to renew their bonds of love and unity as a community, state, and nation.

“On behalf of myself and the government of Ogun State, I celebrate all our Muslim brothers and sisters on this great day of Eid-el-Fitr”, he said.
