OGUN DISTRIBUTES MONITORING VEHICLES FOR TOWN PLANNING ACTIVITIES

ABEOKUTA – In line with its agenda at ensuring proper Town Planning and Urban Renewal, the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development in Ogun State has distributed 26 mini buses to complement monitoring activities at its 22 Zonal Town Planning Offices across the State.
       Speaking during the handing over of the vehicles at the Arcade ground, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Commissioner in the Ministry, TPL. Olatunji Odunlami noted that monitoring of physical development is paramount to the present administration.
      He added that monitoring of development had been a challenge to some of the zonal offices, saying the offices needed to be well equipped to effectively carry out their jobs.
       While appreciating the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for the gesture, TPL. Odunlami urged the Zonal Town Planning Officers to work harder in order to achieve sanity in physical environment, as well as to generate revenue into the coffers of the State government.
       Earlier in his opening remark, the Acting General Manager, Planning and Development Permit Authority, TPL. Kolawole Ogun advised the officers to make judicious use of the vehicles, so as to serve the purpose for which they were provided.
