OGSG Sets To Rebuild Sabo Market, Sagamu

SAGAMU – In fulfillment of the promise made by Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun during his visit to Sabo Market, Sagamu, the State government is set to rebuild the market razed by fire early last year.

According to a release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l & online – www.startrendinternational.com by Iyabo Araba, Zonal Information Officer, Sagamu LG, the Chairman, Transition Committee, Sagamu Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Banjo revealed this during the monitoring of the exercise in Sagamu, stating that traders had been given notice to vacate the shops for proper execution of the project.

Sequel to this, government has commenced work on the reconstruction of the market by clearing shanties to pave way for modernisation of structures, in order to make trading more convenient.

Banjo appealed to the traders to bear with government as the exercise was all in their interest, saying it would further create enabling environment for economic activities.

Speaking on behalf of traders, Mrs. Adetutu Adebayo commended the State government for coming to their aid, while another trader, Mrs. Adijat Agbomabiwon, urged government to accelerate the reconstruction and make it affordable to all.
