Oba Olugbenle Commends IGP Egbetokun For Establishing New Police Mobile Force Command In Ogun West (+photos)

ILARO-YEWA, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – The Olu Ilaro, Paramount Ruler of Yewaland and Chairman, Ogun State Council of Obas, Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle MFR, has applauded the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, for approving and establishing a Police Mobile Force Command in Ogun West.

According to a statement e-signed and released to StarTrend Int’l Magazine and online platform by ‘Deola Adeyemi, Special Assistant to the Paramount Ruler on Media and Strategic Communications, Kabiyesi made the commendation on Monday, November 24, 2025, while receiving officers of the newly created Police Mobile Force No. 84 Squadron, stationed in Ilaro-Yewa, during a courtesy visit to his palace.

The Mobile Force, the first of its kind in Ogun West and responsible for serving the entire district, was recently approved by the Inspector General of Police.

The visiting team, led by the Squadron Commander, ACP Katibi Biliamin Olawale, also officially presented Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), Senator representing Ogun West and Aremo of Yewaland, in recognition of his support to the squadron.

Oba Olugbenle extended heartfelt appreciation to Senator Adeola for facilitating the provision of a building and a Hilux patrol van for the Mobile Police Force, describing the gesture as a timely intervention given the rising security challenges across the country.

The monarch urged residents of Ilaro and Yewaland to remain vigilant and adopt a proactive approach to community safety while continuing to support security agencies in their efforts to maintain peace and order.
