Oba Olugbenle Calls For Restoration Of Ifo-Idogo Rail Line As Gov. Abiodun Assures Commencement Of Sagamu Interchange-Papalanto-Ilaro-Obele Road

ILARO-YEWA – The Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, MFR, has appealed to the Ogun. State Gov. Dapo Abiodun to assist in the restoration of Ifo-Idogo rail line in the Yewa South local government of Ogun State.

The Monarch made the call on Saturday, February 3, 2023 when he received Governor Abiodun and his Campaign train at his Palace in Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State.

The first-class monarch was of the opinion that its restoration of the Ifo-Idogo rail line would boost the economy as well as transportation of goods and services in Yewaland.

In his remarks, Governor Dapo Abiodun, while noting that he would continue to be just, fair and equitable, added that his promise not to develop any part of the state at the expense of others would still be respected.

Gov. Abiodun who disclosed that the people of Yewaland would soon see his administration commence work on the Idogo rail line as well as other rail lines in the State, informed the monarch that the reconstruction of the Sagamu Interchange-Papalanto-Ilaro-Obele Express road has been approved by the Federal Executive Council.

He also revealed that the contract for the reconstruction of the road has been awarded, saying that the project which is in partnership with the Ogun State Government, Aliko Dangote and the Federal Government, would be done using the tax credit scheme.

Governor Dapo Abiodun, while calling on the people of Yewaland to vote him for a Second term in Office, noted that the Ilaro-Owode road would soon be completed by his administration, adding that his administration through its transport master plan is poised to ensure that all parts of the state are connected by adequate road network.
