Oba (Dr.) Lukman Kuoye Expresses Heartfelt Gratitude For Support During PhD Convocation (+photos)

IMASAYI-YEWA, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – Oba (Dr.) Kuoye Lukman Olalekan Adeleke, Fcim, PhD, Kofoworade Oyesokun V, the Olu of Imasayi-Yewa, Ogun State, has extended his heartfelt gratitude to all those who supported him during his journey to receiving his PhD degree.

In a statement released by the monarch’s Media Team, Oba (Dr.) Lukman Adeleke Kuoye expressed his overwhelming gratitude for the presence and support of friends, family, lecturers, and colleagues at his PhD convocation ceremony held at Lagos State University (LASU) on Thursday, June 6, 2024.

“I’m truly overwhelmed with gratitude for your presence and support at my PhD Convocation ceremony at LASU, Lagos. Your unwavering encouragement and belief in me have been a source of great strength throughout my academic journey. Seeing you there to celebrate this milestone meant the world to me and my family,” Oba Kuoye said.

Kabiyesi continued, “Your presence not only made the day more special but also served as a reminder of the amazing people who have stood by me and believed in my potential. Your words, warm wishes, and congratulatory messages have filled my heart with joy and renewed motivation as I embark on this new chapter in my life.”

The statement also highlighted the monarch’s deep appreciation for the support from his family, lecturers, friends, chiefs, and colleagues. “I am incredibly blessed to have family, lecturers, friends, Chiefs, and colleagues like you who have been with me through thick and thin. Your support has been a driving force behind my success, and I am truly grateful for your unwavering friendship and encouragement. Professor AbdulAkeem Lamidi, you came, you saw, but couldn’t conquer. You cannot be forgotten.”

Oba Kuoye also highlighted the special role his lecturers played in his academic success.

“My lecturers have a special place in my heart,” he said. He also expressed appreciation to the Governing Council of LASU for ensuring that his three-year programme proceeded without interruptions from strikes or other distractions.

“I’m not forgetting the roles played by Prof. Ibiyemi Bello: Vice Chancellor of LASU, for her exceptional leadership and talent; Prof. Femi Lawal: Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences; Prof. Olateju: Dean, Postgraduate School; Prof. Olanrewaju Ajiboye: Sub-Dean, Postgraduate School; Dr. Bolawale Odunaike: Sub-Dean/Programme Coordinator; Dr. Oluranti Samuel: Head of Department, Sociology; Dr. Ramon Saka: Internal External Examiner; Prof. Nwosu: External Examiner from the University of Ibadan; Alhaja AbdulRahman: Postgraduate School Secretary and Bursary Department: Staff members and others in the Sociology Department.”

Oba Kuoye expressed profound thanks to everyone who attended his convocation ceremony, noting that their presence made the day extraordinarily special. “Your presence made all the difference,” he said.

Kabiyesi promised to forever cherish the memories created with his guests during the ceremony, concluding with, “With deepest appreciation and heartfelt thanks.”

Oba Kuoye’s message underscores the significance of community and support in achieving academic and personal milestones, reflecting his gratitude and humility as he celebrates this significant achievement.
