EBUTE-IGBORO-YEWA – Oba Hamzat Adetunji Dosunmu, the Onisolo 1 of Ebute-Igboro in Yewa North local government of Ogun state, has appealed to the Ogun state government to tar the township roads of the town to save the residents from the hazardous effect of erosion.
The monarch made this speech at the 2021 Ileya Day celebration in the town.
Oba Dosunmu noted that the town with huge deposit of has laterite base needed solid road network and embarkment to address the challenges of erosion threatening its survival after each heavy rainfall.
Kabiyesi who expressed his gratitude and that of his people to the Ogun state government for the ongoing developmental efforts emphasized that Ebute-Igboro urgently needed government’s attention.
The Onisolo 1 thanked God for the successful celebration of this year Ileya festival in the town, and also showered encomium on all sons and daughters of the town, especially Alhaji Ibrahim Egungbohun, the Chairman/Chief Executive, IBD IMPEX Ltd, fondly called IBD,for the business mogul’s undiluted love for the town and its people.
Oba Dosunmu prayed that God in His infinite mercies would continue to bless IBD in good health and long life.
People of the ancient town of Ebute-Igboro in Yewa North of Ogun State were on Wednesday, July, 21, 2021 in celebration mood on the occasion of the 2021 Ileya Day.
The event which was part of the yearly Eid-el-Kabir celebration, put together by the business mogul, Alhaji Ibrahim Egungbohun, who is also Chairman/Chief Executive, IBD International Hotels Ltd., was graced by cream of the society who came from far and near, including sons and daughters of the town.
Amidst shouts of “Oyi” to appreciate the man, the humble and noiseless philanthropist and his amiable wife – Mrs. Omolara Egungbohun were seen making sure their guests are well catered for, moving from one table to the other, exchanging pleasantries with the dignitaries in attendance.
IBD and some of his guests later joined the kabiyesi, Oba Hamzat Adetunji Dosumu, his chiefs and people of the town at the Local Authority Primary School field, Ebute-Igboro where different artistes thrilled audience to superlative musical rendition and dance steps.
“Oyi”, the man of the people also displayed his dexterity in the traditional music dance at the event as he joined some dance groups on the dance floor while both young and old people of the town commended him for always identifying with them.
