IJEBU ODE – The newly commissioned 14km Ijebu-Ode-Epe-Mojoda Road by President Muhammadu Buhari would attract investors and open up economic opportunities in the axis, the Chairman Ijebu-Ode Local Government, Alhaji Babatunde Gazal has said.
Alhaji Gazal stated this in an interview with OGIS correspondents in Ijebu-Ode, during a day official visit of the President to Ogun State, describing the projects as monumental achievements that would foster development in the area.
The Chairman noted that the road, which had been in a deplorable state, had been reconstructed and dualised for free flow of traffic by the Prince Dapo Abiodun led government.
“Ijebu-Ode-Epe-Mojoda road is about 14km, before now, traveling on that road would take up to one hour to get to Epe, but now, it would take one less than 20 minutes. Economically, that is an advantage because beyond driving on that road, it has opened up that axis for bigger economic opportunities. A lot of industries are running over hills to have plots of lands there and that will have a greater impact on the economy of that axis”, he said.
The Chairman described the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun as a silent achiever who aside the Ijebu-Ode-Epe-Mojoda road has constructed the Prince Court housing estate in Kobape, Gateway City Gate interchange in Sagamu, as well as King’s Court in Abeokuta within two and half years of his administration.
