AYETORO-YEWA – The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) has constructed 200-seater Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Centre, fully equipped with central server at Comprehensive High School, Ayetoro, in order to ease Information Technology of students in Ogun West Senatorial District of the State.
According to a release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l & online – www.startrendinternational.com by Lateef Akintunde, Zonal Infomation Officer, Ayetoro, the Chairman of the Corporation, Mrs. Ronke Sokefun while commissioning the edifice said that the project was initiated to provide the opportunity needed for the eligible secondary school students in the Senatorial area and its environs to write Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination and to fulfill other ICT requirements of the students.
“The centre is a right steps in a right direction, so as to improve the beneficiaries’ value to be great on ICT and their academic, be a part of holistic process aimed at promoting quality, integrity, accountability as well as improvement on their human endeavours,” Sokefun said.
She noted that the project was part of the NDIC’s Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR), saying that the project took the Corporation 18 Months to be completed.
Speaking on behalf of the Ogun State Government, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu appreciated the donour for the laudable project, noting that the ICT centre was in line with the present administration of Ogun Digital education.
He further charged the residents and students of the area to make good use of the facility and maintain the edifice, saying that this would reduce the stress of the students who wishes to sit for JAMB examination across the state.
In his welcome address, the Principal of the School, Mr. Sulaimon Sekunmade appreciated the initiator of the project, the Chairman of the Corporation for chosen her Alma Mata, assuring that the laudable project would be secure, utilise and maintain judiciously
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the present Senior Girl of the School, Miss Mujibat Ayankunle hailed donour for the giant stride, promising to properly use the centre and maintain the edifice.
