Minister Of State For Labour, Festus Keyamo Loses Dad, Pa Matthias Keyamo At 87

EFFURUN DELTA STATE – The death has been announced of Pa Matthias Keyamo, father to Olorogun Festus Keyamo SAN and Minister of State for Labour.

According to a reliable source, Pa Matthias Keyamo, died on Saturday, March 5, 2022 after a brief illness.

Pa Keyamo died at his home town of Effurun, Delta State in the presence of his aged wife, Mrs. Caroline Abeni Keyamo whom together they have been married for 58 years.

Mrs. Caroline Abeni Keyamo (née Ogunjobi) hails from Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State.

Pa Matthias Keyamo, 87 and his wife, Mrs. Caroline Abeni Keyamo (née Ogunjobi), together had seven children and Festus Egwarewa Adeniyi Keyamo SAN – the current Minister of State for Labour and Employment is their first son.

Until his death, Pa Matthias and his wife was a devoted Jehovah’s witness.

Born on August 23, 1938, in Erovie Quarters in Effurun, Delta State, Pa Matthias Keyamo was later raised in Kaduna and Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State where he met and married his wife, Mrs. Caroline Keyamo (nee Ogunjobi).

They immediately relocated to Ughelli in Delta State where he begat all his children, including Olorogun Festus Keyamo, SAN, the present Minister of State, Labour and Employment.
