Many People Warned Me Against Doing Business With Portable – Temmy Autos Boss

LAGOS, NIGERIA – Temitope Ogunsawo, owner of Temmy Autos, has expressed regret over his decision to do business with Nigerian artiste Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable.

Ogunsawo recently initiated the arrest of Portable due to a 14 million naira debt from a 27 million naira Mercedes Benz car deal.

He revealed that despite receiving numerous warnings against partnering with Portable, he ignored them, driven by compassion and belief in Portable’s potential as an emerging talent.

Ogunsawo lamented the experience, stating that Portable’s installment payments of 1 million or 1.5 million naira were inadequate and essentially wasted the funds.

In an interview with Punch, Ogunsawo described his frustration, recounting how Portable stopped taking his calls and became verbally abusive when contacted.

“It was quite an ordeal before I was able to apprehend Portable as I could no longer tolerate the situation,” Ogunsawo said. “Imagine a business involving 27 million naira, and he began making payments of just 1 million

“Following this, he stopped making or 1.5 million naira in installments. The money was essentially wasted.payments. I continued to call Portable, but he would not pick up my calls. On the rare occasions he did answer my calls, he resorted to cursing and verbal abuse.

“This is the first time I experienced such an ordeal. Even if someone who is not a celebrity approached me to purchase a car and explained their payment plan, we would collaborate and make the process transparent, unlike this.

“Many people warned me against doing business with Portable, but I did not listen. I am compassionate and I viewed him as a budding talent, which is why I engaged in business with him. Unfortunately, he betrayed my trust.”
