IBADAN – House of Representatives aspirant under the platform of Accord Party in 2019- elections from Ibadan Southwest Local Government who recently decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Opeyemi Fatola has joined others to commiserate with Gov. Seyi Makinde of Oyo State over the death of his mother, Mama Abigail Makinde.

According to Hon. Fatola, “In the end, it’s not the years in Mana’s life that count, but the life in Mama’s years. There is no gainsaying that Mama lived an exemplary life.

“Mama gave birth to a person, the number 1 citizen of Oyo State, a living statue that is much bigger than a life size, a distinguished personality of enormous importance and ability.

“It is a remarkable achievement in the life of Mama during her lifetime and will forever be much talked about after her departure.”

Fatola continued, “I am not mourning over your departure, but rather I’m here celebrating the excellence in your departure.

“Death is a debt we all owe and Mama has paid the price as others before her did. You can either shed tears that Mama is gone or you can smile because Mama has lived. She has lived.

“As far as I’m concerned, I’m not thinking or come into conclusion that Mama have gone away, but rather I’m looking at the journey Mama have just begun into eternity for life holds so many facets.

“This earth is but one of the facets of life. Adieu Mama Governor.”
