MAINTAIN CLEAN AND HYGIENIC ENVIRONMENT – LG BOSS

SAGAMU – Traders in Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State have been charged to maintain clean and hygienic environment towards healthy living.

The Chairman, Transition committee, Sagamu Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Baruwa gave this charge while monitoring the weekly market environmental sanitation in Sagamu.

Hon. Baruwawho disclosed that his administration has embarked on serious evacuation of drainages and clearing of water ways for easy flow of water to avoid flooding, condemned the rate at which people dump refuse in drainages during rainfall, warning that anyone caught in the act would face the wrath of the law.

He enjoined them to ensure proper disposal of refuse, as drainages were constructed for easy flow of water and not refuse disposal as he solicited for total support for the present adminstration in the State.

In her words, the Iyaloja of Falawo market, Chief (Mrs.) Olasode Oduwaye lauded the government for making trucks available during the weekly market sanitation exercise, which she said has aided proper waste disposal.
