MAGBORO, OGUN STATE – Asphalt paving has officially commenced on the 8.17km Magboro Underpass-Magboro-Makogi Road, marking a major milestone in the ongoing reconstruction project aimed at transforming one of the area’s most vital corridors.
The reconstruction, a strategic intervention by the Ogun State government, is designed to improve mobility and connectivity for Magboro and its surrounding communities; reduce travel time and traffic congestion; boost local economic activity and enhance access for residents, commuters, and businesses.
Fully mobilized construction teams are progressing steadily through the scheduled phases. With asphalt now being laid, the impact of the transformation is becoming more visible and tangible to the community.
In a further development, the government has announced plans to begin installing paving stones along the underpass in the coming days. This will not only strengthen the road structure but also add aesthetic value to the corridor.
Upon completion, the project is expected to deliver long-term relief and convenience for local residents and businesses, while contributing significantly to Ogun State’s broader infrastructural development goals.
“We deeply appreciate the continued patience, cooperation, and support of residents and road users throughout this process. Every effort is being made to ensure the project is completed efficiently and to the highest standard”, the Ogun State government said.
