Madam Makinde’s Sudden Death Still Came As A Rude Shock To Me – Sen. Balogun

IBADAN – The Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District in the 9th National Assembly, Dr Mohammed Kola Balogun has sent his condolences to the Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde, the elder brother, Chief Olumuyiwa Makinde and the entire Makinde family on the passage of matriarch of Pa Olatubosun Makinde, clan of Aigbofa Compound of Oja’ba, Ibadan.

In the statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Rotimi Johnson Ojasope, Dr. Balogun said, “Mama Abigail Makinde who was hale and hearty until her call to glory was an articulate, industrous and jovial octogenarian with a very good sense of judgement.

“She is no doubt had lived a fulfilled life, but her sudden death still came as a rude shock to me. I thank God for her life and I pray the Lord to grant our dear Governor, his siblings and the entire Makinde family the grace to bear this irreparable loss.”

“I would have loved to have the mother of both the Director-General of my campaign organization, Chief Olumuyiwa Makinde and the Governor, for more years, but I have taken solace in God’s perfect plan for Mama and the whole family”.

Sen. Balogun stated further, “My prayers and thoughts are with the Governor and the entire family at this time and I expressed the profound feelings of the good people of the district in the same vein.”
