ABEOKUTA – The Local Government Information Chapel of Ogun NUJ Council on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, lost one of its ace information officers, Alhaji Sikiru Lateef, a k.a. Esinoje who passed on to the grave beyond after a brief illness at the age of 54.
According to a release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l & online – www.startrendinternational.com by Oniyide Adegboyega, Information Officer, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Esinoje was buried same day at his residence in Abule-Ayo, Mawuko in Odeda Local
government Area, in Islamic way around four o’clock in the evening in the presence of his immediate family members, friends, Colleagues and representatives from Ogun State Local Government Service Commission and Ogun NUJ Council.
Before giving up the ghost on Tuesday, February 8, Alhaji Lateef had served in Ogun State Local Government Service for over 32 years, holding various posts of capacity in different Local government Areas of the State.
Esinoje started his career progression in Obafemi Owode Local government before he converted to the Information Officers Cadre and later elevated to the Head of Department position.
Until his death, Alhaji Sikiru Lateef was the Head of Information, Education and Sports Department, Ifo Local government.
He is survived by wife, children and siblings. May his departed Soul rest in perfect peace. Amen
