Lagos PDP Undeterred By Jandor’s Defection – Aivoji

LAGOS, NIGERIA – The State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Lagos State chapter, Honourable Philip Aivoji, has said that the party remained undeterred by the defection of Mr. Jide Oladiran (a. k. a Jandor) and his cohorts from the party.

Hon. Aivoji, who made these remarks during a chat with newsmen at Ikeja, Lagos State on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, noted that their defection was a relief for the party as neither Jandor nor the former State Publicity Secretary, Mr. Hakeem Ambode, offered any meaningful contributions to the party during the last general elections.

He, however; described as baseless and unfortunate claims credited to the defectors that the Lagos PDP had collapsed its structures into the APC following their defection.

The Lagos PDP State Chairman, who challenged the defectors to make known their contributions to the party other than being moles for APC, noted that the party still has the excos in the 245 wards, excos in the 20 Local Government Areas and the state exco still fully intact.

He further added that all the zonal officers from the Lagos PDP, the Acting National Secretary, present and former members of the Board of Trustees (BOT) and other stakeholders are  still very active in the affairs of the party in the state and, therefore, described Jandor and his cohorts’ claim of collapsing the Lagos PDP structures into APC as not only mischievous, but also misleading.

Hon. Aivoji, therefore, urged the party’s teeming members and the general public to discountenance the false and misleading narratives of a collapsed Lagos PDP and remain steadfast as the party remains committed to efforts at repositioning the party in the state.
