Lagos PDP Chair,  Dominic Asks CP To Arrest Segundo Adewale

Chairman, Lagos State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Adegbola Dominic, on Friday April 26, 2019 called on the state Commissioner of Police, Zubair Muazu, to arrests Otunba Segun Adewale aka Aeroland, who he said has been laying claim to the same chairmanship post, even though he is not a PDP member.

Dominic made this call in a signed petition written to the police boss, titled: “Unnecessary and Preventable Break-in and Entry at PDP Secretariat,” copy of which was made available to Tribune Online, complaining that Adewale and his thugs broke into the party office again early Friday on the pretext that they were holding a party meeting.

Adewale, it would be recalled called was a factional chairman of the party during the Sheriff/Makarfi leadership tussle at the national level, from where he stepped down and proceeded to Ekiti State to contest the last governorship poll on the platform of Action Democratic Party (ADP).

“We are imploring the Nigeria Police, Lagos State Command, to apprehend Segun Adewale in order to maintain the peace, and protect our properties and our law-abiding members,” the party boss said in the petition.

Dominic said the break-in occurred despite the fact that Otunba Adewale was not a member of PDP and the police had been duly informed about such long before the occurrence, recalling that this was not the first time he was engaging in such activities.

According to him, Adewale did much similar thing a few days ago, a development, he said, prompted the PDP National leadership to forward a petition to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police dated Tuesday, April 16th 2019, requesting that he (Adewale), not being a member of the party, should be apprehended for breaking into the party secretariat at Sogunle area of Lagos.

“I wish to bring to your notice that Mr Segun Adewale, aka Aeroland, and his thugs have broken into our party secretariat again, in the morning of Friday 26th April, 2019 on the pretext that they are holding a party meeting, despite (the fact) that he is not a member of our party; and the Police has been duly informed about that fact.

“Please be reminded that this occasion is not the first that Segun Adewale aka Aeroland is breaking into our party Secretariat in this manner, which prompted our Party’s National leadership, in a petition to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police dated Tuesday April 16th 2019, to request that Segun Adewale, not being a member of our party, should be apprehended for breaking into our party secretariat,” the PDP Chairman stated.

Dominic further recalled that he alerted both the police D.C. Ops and the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Ikeja division yesterday (Thursday), “having got information of Adewale’s impending invasion again today Friday 26th April.”

The politician said leaders had been hard pressed restraining party youths from rising to defend the PDP secretariat and staff working there as doing in otherwise could have led to the breakdown of law and order, and possibly bloodshed.

Dominic said this was the situation they were trying to avoid as responsible party leaders and, therefore, the call being made on the Lagos Police Command to arrest Otunba Adewale in order to maintain the peace, protect you the law abiding PDP members as well as the party properties.

We want to avoid at all cost, and therefore we are imploring the Nigeria Police, Lagos State Command to apprehend  Segun Adewale in order to maintain the peace, and protect our properties and our law-abiding members.
