Isiokpo Community To Probe Herbert Wigwe’s Death Through Traditional Methods

ISIOKPO, RIVERS STATE – Isiokpo community in Ikwerre Local Government of Rivers State has announced its intention to utilize traditional methods to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic demise of Herbert Wigwe, his wife, and son.

During a solemn procession to kickstart an eight-day mourning period, King Blessing Wagor asserted that Wigwe, a cherished member of the community, must be laid to rest in Isiokpo.

He emphasized the community’s commitment to conducting traditional rites to ascertain the nature of his passing.

Wagor declared, “We must uncover the truth behind Herbert Wigwe’s death through our ancestral customs.

“Isiokpo is steeped in tradition, and we will rely on our ancient ways to discern whether his demise was natural or otherwise.”

The community came to a standstill as markets, shops, and roads remained deserted, with residents donning somber attire and joining processions mourning their esteemed benefactor.

At Wagor’s palace, where mourners gathered, tributes flowed as King Wagor hailed Wigwe’s contributions to the development of Isiokpo.

Despite lamenting the loss of unfinished projects, he urged acceptance of God’s will and encouraged others to emulate Wigwe’s legacy of community service.

President of Isiokpo Youth Council, Ezemoye Peter, echoed the community’s sentiments, expressing skepticism about the reported circumstances of Wigwe’s demise.

He called for thorough investigations by governmental authorities to uncover the truth behind the tragedy.

The community’s resolve to probe Wigwe’s death underscores the profound impact of his legacy and the need for closure amidst their grief.
