…Says, Islam is a Religion of Peace and Progress

ILARO-YEWA, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – The Chief Imam of Ansar-Ud-Deen Society, Ilaro-Yewa Branch, Imam (Sheik) Badmus Adegbite, has called on Muslim faithful to involve their children in all Islamic gatherings in order to deepen their understanding of the faith.
Speaking on Saturday, April 24, 2025, during his welcome address at the opening of a two-day event organized by the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society, Yewa Zone Headquarters in Ilaro, Ogun State, Imam Adegbite emphasized the importance of raising children with Islamic values, so that they, in turn, can pass them on to future generations.
Imam Adegbite noted that the event is one of many religious programmes organized by the Ilaro Branch of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society to promote the peaceful tenets of Islam.
He described the event as divinely supported and highlighted that the awardees and newly installed chiefs were individuals of unquestionable character, honoured for their long-standing positive contributions to both society and the Islamic faith.

The Chief Imam urged all beneficiaries of the honours to continue their good works and to serve as role models to others in the community.
He also advised the wider Muslim audience to emulate the virtues of those honoured, encouraging them to aspire toward similar recognition through dedication and service.
Delivering a goodwill message on behalf of the Executive Chairman of Yewa South Local Government, Barrister Abraham Babatunde Ogunsola, his Vice, Alhaji (Hon.) Sheriff Bankole, urged the congregation to continue praying for the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
He emphasized that such prayers are essential for ensuring the benefits of democracy reach every part of Yewaland.
Ogunsola also congratulated the awardees and encouraged them to sustain the good work that brought them recognition.
In his lecture titled: “The Value of Hard Work and Dedication” on Saturday, April 25, 2025, Imam (Alhaji) Luqman Ojetola, Missionary of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society, Imasayi-Yewa Branch, emphasized that hard work is a core Islamic value rewarded both in this life and the hereafter.
He cited the story of Prophet Yusuf as a powerful example of the rewards of commitment and perseverance. Imam Ojetola urged the awardees to embody these virtues and remain generous in their deeds.
Also on Sunday, April 27, 2025, Imam Tajudeen Adisa Taiwo, Missioner of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society, Oke-Odan Branch, delivered a lecture titled: “The Role of Leadership in Promoting Social Justice and Equity.”
He stressed the importance of sincere intentions in leadership and referenced Prophet Daud as a symbol of righteous and just governance.

Imam Taiwo urged the newly installed chiefs and other honourees to reject all forms of social vices and to serve as agents of peace.
In his address, the Chairman of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society, Ilaro-Yewa Branch, Chief Sebil Amoo Hamed, advised the awardees and newly appointed chiefs to remain steadfast in their commitment to the propagation of Islam and the development of the association.
Chief Hamed commended Alhaji (Chief) Mubadeen Allinson, the immediate past Chairman of the Ogun State Chapter of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society, for his unwavering support at all levels, including the Ilaro Branch.
He also expressed appreciation for Chief Imam Badmus Adegbite’s tireless efforts toward the progress of the Society and offered prayers for divine blessings upon all contributors to the advancement of Islam.

Chief Hamed who is also the Chairman, Tailoring Association of Nigeria (TAN), Ogun State Chapter, applauded Alhaji (Chief) Jimoh Adewunmi Taiwo and his planning committee for the excellent organization and execution of the event.
The two-day celebration, held at the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society, Yewa Zone Headquarters in Ilaro, began on Saturday, April 24, 2025, with an award presentation ceremony and concluded on Sunday, April 25, with the conferment of chieftaincy titles on notable Muslim personalities.
ThSome Muslim faithful were honoured for their valuable contributions to society and the Islamic faith; they are Alhaji Balogun Raheem Olorunwa; Mr. Ogunbiyi Sulaimon Akinsile; Mrs. Akinbode Nuratu Ajoke; Barr. (Chief) Semiu Banmeke; Alhaji Raheemot Adebisi Musibau Jimoh; Alhaja Arowoagbon Folake Shakirat; Alhaja Lawal Modinat Abeni; Alhaja Rasheedat Ayinke Tijani; Alhaji Tella Abdul-Azeez Alabi and Alhaja Toriola Abbebat Mobolaji among others.
On the second day of the event, the following individuals were installed as new chiefs – Alhaja Modinat Abike Ibrahim (Arowosadinni); Alhaji Idris Adebayo Bankole (Mayegun Adinni); Mrs. Okedele Fatimoh Taiwo (Otun Iya Sunna); Hajia Rahmotalai Aderonke Ori-Ire-Ni-Temi (Sanmori Adinni); Alhaja Elegbede Tawakalitu (Agbesinga Adinni); Alhaji (Chief) Jimoh Nafiu Abiodun and Alhaji Ajibola Taiwo Olalekan (Borokinni Adinni).
The celebration was well-attended by dignitaries from various sectors of society. Among the prominent guests were Alhaji Mubadeen Allinson and his wife, Alhaja Fausat Allinson.
In his closing remarks, Chairman of the Planning Committee, Alhaji (Chief) Jimoh Adewunmi Taiwo, expressed gratitude to Almighty God for the success of the event.
He thanked all attendees for their participation and congratulated the awardees. Alhaji (Chief) Taiwo urged the newly installed chiefs to redouble their efforts in serving Islam and contributing to societal development.
