What’s your profession?:
I work as an Estate Agent in Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State.
You received an Islamic honour recently. Could you share more about the title and your feelings about the award?
I was honoured as Borokini Adinni of AWIFON Foundation, commemorating its 10 years of propagating Islam. It’s a fulfillment I deeply cherish. I’m grateful to Almighty Allah for my health and this recognition. Notably, I’ve been involved with the foundation since its inception. The Chairman/Founder, Alhaji (Chief) Waidi Haruna Oloyede, a dear friend akin to a twin brother, initiated me into this world. He’s a remarkable individual. I’m not forgetting his amiable wife, my dear sister – Alhaja (Chief) Mrs. Memunat Haruna (Lady Wadoye), a jewel of inestimable value, an amazon to behold.
I extend my thanks to the Almighty Allah for making the day successful through His infinite mercy. I also want to express my gratitude to my family, particularly my younger brother in the USA – Mr. Alli Hassan (Baba Agba) Alabi Eniayewun – and his close friend, Dr. Muyideen Ibiyemi, who generously financed and supported my installation as Borokini Adinni.
What role does Borokini Adinni play in the foundation?
My role as Borokini Adinni is to serve Allah fervently, support the foundation’s progress, and aid in charitable endeavours. The Holy Qu’ran advocates for cheerful giving, a principle I uphold.
Your message to AWIFON for conferring this honour?
I’m sincerely thankful to AWIFON for deeming me worthy of this recognition. It’s a marvel, and I’m immensely grateful. I extend my gratitude to those instrumental in my installation.
