SAGAMU – The Chairman, Sagamu Local Government Hon. Jubril Odulate has reiterated his commitment to transform the community to enhance its socio-economic development through Public Private Partnership (PPP).
Hon. Odulate stated this while speaking with journalists in his office, promising to fulfil all his electoral manifestos as plans and programmes were in the pipeline to actualize it.
The Council boss explained that plans were underway to improve the infrastructural development of the community to attract investors and make it investment destination of choice, which he noted would further enhance the socio-economic development of the community and the State at large.
Hon. Odulate revealed that his administration was poised to sanitising the community as youths are too exposed to drug, revealing that plans have been concluded to partner with the National Drug Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to address the youths and give them a better orientation about illicit use of drugs.
He added that various vocational trainings and empowerment that would productively engage them were also in the pipeline, imploring the young ones to engage themselves in profitable ventures to attain a greater heights as idle mind is the workshop for the devil.
Hon. Odulate harped on the need to motivate the staff to ensure effective service delivery, saying that since his assumption in office, he has embarked on renovation within the Council which has given it a facelift, promising to make staff welfare his priority to motivate them to put in their best and support his administration for a successful tenure.
