IJEBU-ODE – The Transition Chairman, Ijebu Ode Local Government, Engr. Olugbenga Olugbele on Thursday, January 28, 2021, paid an inspection visit to the Awokoya Road, in the Ijebu-Ode metropolis.
According to a release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l & online – www.startrendinternational.com by Tope Oyekan, Director, Information, Education and Sports, Ijebu Ode Local Government, the Council boss led some Engineers from the Ogun State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure on an inspection of the entire bad portion of the road, which is presently being fixed by a public-spirited individual, through some palliative intervention, including the desilting of blocked waterways.
During the inspection, the Chairman, appealed to shop and house owners to desist from the habit of dumping refuse on the waterways, and also stop displaying their goods on the walkways and drainages.
He also expressed appreciation to the donor for his rare display of magnanimity.
The Ministry is expected to move in soon to carry out an asphalt overlay on the road.
