The recent wins of the Grammys Award by Burna boy and Wizkid has attracted several comments at different levels by many Nigerians and organisations.
One of those who reacted to the latest development is a fast rising music record label in Nigeria, TMW-TNKAY Worldwide Music Entertainment which described the win as a great motivation to the music industry in Nigeria.
Speaking with newsmen recently, the record label Chairman, Mrs. Temmie Olabode explained that music being a serious business can’t be put aside, adding that music is a way of life and can not be over-emphasized in this contemporary days.
“Entertainment industry is a business that generates value by providing people with something interesting to do. It’s a form of activity that holds the attention or gives pleasure and delight to people. Music business is a serious business and can’t be put aside.
“The world music recording industries are experiencing a period of growth over the years. This rapid transformation of the music industry is through the innovation by record labels”, Olabode said.
She however noted that as a country that values cultural heritage, TMW will use its influence as a label to promote African values, adding that the outfit will focus on the Nigerian entertainment Industry for now.
While stressing that TMW-TNKAY Worldwide Music Entertainment will make the music industry in Nigeria stand out to an enviable height, Mrs. Olabode maintained that the label will further creates opportunities for serious talented artistes.
Meanwhile, TMW-TNKAY Worldwide Music Entertainment just signed a famous artiste, Mr. Ayoola Johnson, popularly called Ay.com and appointed royal ambassador Barr. Habeeb Whyte as its Legal Adviser.
