Gov Abiodun Commissions Health Centre, Borehole Projects In Sagamu Local Government

SAGAMU – The Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun (MFR) ably represented by the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Afolabi Afuape on the auspicious occasion of official commissioning of some laudable projects executed by Hon. Gbenga Banjo led administration of Sagamu Local Government.

According to a release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l & online – www.startrendinternational.com by Omolola Adeyinka, Director of Information, Sagamu Local government, Hon. Gbenga Banjo, the performing Chairman of the local government in his welcome address appreciated God Almighty for special grace given to everyone present in witnessing the occasion in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic still ravaging the entire globe.

The Council Boss emphasised on the fact that, “it was another epoch-making event in the annals of history of the local government, s we gathered to commission four fully completed projects that have direct and significant impacts in the socio-political and economic lives of our teeming populace at the grassroot level”.

Hon. Gbenga Banjo also appreciated the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for making the projects possible by intervening during the execution of the projects and also gave credit to the Governor for restoring the lost glory of Local government administration in the state, after many years of being moribund.

He disclosed that, the various projects being commissioned were evenly distributed across the nooks and crannies of the Local Government Area, such as, Construction of Primary Healthcare Centre at Sotubo, sinking of boreholes with stanchion machines at Agbowa-Makun, Ogijo, Baruwa- Ofin.

While speaking, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Afolabi Afuape, commended the Executive Governor of Ogun State for his unwavering support for the local government Area and the dedication and commitment of the Chairman in distributing dividend of democracy to the people.

The Commissioner furthr assured the people of the local government that every wards in each local government of Ogun state will witnes, atleast one or two projects.

Oba Samson A. Adesanya, the Olijagba of Ijagba, congratulated the people of Sotubo, for the laudable projects executed in the Area and implored the chairman not to be discouraged nor relent in his good works and good leadership role.

The Asoju of Sotubo, Asiwaju Taiwo Odusanya appreciated the Council Chairman for proving to them, yet again that, he is not a promised and fail leader.

Also present at the commissioning are Hon. Funmi Efuwape, Honourable Commissioner For Women Affairs; Alhaja Abimbola Awofeso, Ogun State member of Healthcare Board; Mr. Wale Bamiro, Council’s Head of Local Government Administration; Mr. Tunde Adesanya, Director of Administration and Supplies, Ministry of Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs.

They also include other members of Transition Committee, Lisa of Sotubo, Ayangboruwa-in-Council ably led by Chief Fasasi and party faithfuls among a host of others.
