Fraudsters Clone Air Peace Airline’s Website, Defrauded Customers

LAGOS, NIGERIA -Air Peace Airline management has issued a warning after discovering that scammers have cloned its official website, leading to unsuspecting passengers being duped, particularly those attempting to book UK flights.

This alert comes shortly after the airline launched its pioneering direct flight from Nigeria to the United Kingdom.

In a post on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, on its X (formerly Twitter), the airline revealed that the fake website, “www.flyairpeace.uk,” mimics its official booking platform, using some of its website identity collaterals.

The statement cautioned, “Our attention has been drawn to the existence of a website ‘www.flyairpeace.uk‘ purporting to be an official website and defrauding unsuspecting individuals. We would like to dissociate the Air Peace brand from this fraudulent site because it is not owned by us. The one and only website of Air Peace remains ‘www.flyairpeace.com.’ Members of the public should totally ignore the site, as it is impersonating Air Peace and fleecing passengers.”

It is worth noting that the airline commenced daily flights to Gatwick, London, on March 30, 2024.
