FCA Ibadan Strengthens Security Partnership with DSS, Police

IBADAN, OYO STATE, NIGERIA – The Federal College of Agriculture, Moor Plantation, Ibadan (FCAIB), on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, paid courtesy visits to the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Apata Police Division in a bid to further strengthen security collaboration and appreciate the sustained support of the agencies to the centenarian institution.

According to a release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l Magazine by the Head of the College’s Media and Communication Department, Mrs. Wilson Oyekemi, the visitation team was led by the College Bursar, Mrs. Theresa Adeoye, on behalf of the Provost, Prof. Jonathan J. Atungwu.

Other members of the delegation included the College Accountant, Mr. Yemi Jagunna; Mrs. Kehinde Sonibare; and the Head of the Security Unit, Mr. Gbolagade Adewale.

The team conveyed the goodwill message of the Provost and Management of the College and presented appreciation packages to the security agencies in recognition of their continuous support.

At the South-West Zonal Office of the DSS, the delegation was received by the Zonal Director, Mr. Mark, who discussed the prevailing security situation within the College and reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to sustained support and collaboration.

Also, at the Apata Police Division, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), CSP Yemisi Olawoyin Opalola, warmly welcomed the delegation.

She highlighted the achievements recorded during her tenure and commended the College for acknowledging the efforts of the Nigeria Police.

In their responses, both the DSS and the Nigeria Police expressed appreciation to the Provost and Management of FCAIB for the thoughtful gesture, assuring the College of continued collaboration and enhanced security support.
