FCA Ibadan Signs MoU for Establishment of Agricultural Mobility, Assembly, Innovation Centre

IBADAN, NIGERIA – TUESDAY, MARCH 10, 2026 – The Federal College of Agriculture, Moor Plantation, Ibadan (FCAIB) on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the establishment of the FCA-KAINIU Agricultural Mobility, Assembly and Innovation Centre within the College.

According to a statement e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l Magazine and online platform by Wilson Oyekemi, Head, Public Relations Unit, the MoU signing followed earlier partnership discussions held on November 4, 2025, and forms part of a broader institutional collaboration framework initiated and coordinated by College Provost, Prof. Jonathan J. Atungwu through Hi-Tech Demographics Consulting Services Ltd, the project originator and lead institutional and technical partner.

The agreement was facilitated by the College Provost through Hi‑Tech Demographics Consulting Services Ltd in collaboration with Kainiu Investment Nigeria Limited.

The visiting delegation was led by Mr. Adeyemo Olumuyiwa Abimbola, Managing Director of Hi-Tech Demographics Consulting Services Ltd, who also represented Kainiu Investment Nigeria Limited – the international technical partner, manufacturer, and franchise owner of the Kainiu Cargo King Tricycle products.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, the Provost of the College, Prof. Jonathan J. Atungwu, expressed delight over the partnership and the signing of the MoU with Kainiu Investment Nigeria Limited to commence the assembly of Kainiu Cargo King Tricycle products within the College.

Management and other Staff who witnessed the signed MoU included: the Deputy Provost (Administration), Dr. Musiliu O. Adenekan; Deputy Provost (Academics), Victoria Okpeze, Registrar, Mr. Abimbade S. Abass; Head of the Bursary Department, Adeyemi Jaguno; Director of Establishment, Mrs. Olanike Popoola; Director of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Mr. Eyitayo Oluade; and the College Legal Officer, Mr. Samuel Elum.

The agreement will lead to the establishment of a structured Mini Assembly, Warehouse, Training and Technology Exchange Centre within the College.

The centre is designed to position FCAIB as a regional hub for agricultural mobility technology, applied research, student training, and industry skills development.

The initiative is expected to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry, while enhancing Nigeria’s agricultural value chain logistics and promoting innovation in agricultural mobility solutions
