Eid-el-Kabir: Monarch Enjoins Residents To Celebrate With Covid-19 Consciousness

AYETORO – The Alaye of Ayetoro, Oba Abdul-Asisi Adelakun, Akinola 11 has enjoined the residents of Ayetoro to be conscious of COVID-19 and observe all preventive measures as they celebrate Eid-el-Kabir.

According to a release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l magazine & www.startrendinternational.com by Lateef Akintunde, ZIO, Ayetoro, the monarch spoke through the Chairman of Baales, Baale of Ilogun, Ayetoro, Chief Samson Oguntade in his palace.

He said the festive period is usually celebrated in large gatherings of family members and loved ones, warning the people to obey the guidelines on Covid-19 by Nigeria Centre for Diseases Control (NCDC).

Alaye also advised residents to emulate Prophet Ibrahim who served God through obedience and sacrifice as he accept to sacrifice his only son before it turned out to celebration.

Also, the Jagumolu of Ayetoro, Chief Murithod Adedeji advised residents to be security conscious during and after the festive period to guard against untoward attitudes of deviants.

He also warned motorcycle riders and commercial vehicle drivers against reckless driving, alcoholic drinks, and disregard to traffic rules.

Adedeji used the occasion to appeal to Ogun government to intervene on road rehabilitation around Ayetoro and its environs.
