According to a press release e-signed and made available to StarTrend Int’l magazine and online platform by Mohammed Braimah, Media Aide, Office of Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, GCON, Immediate Past Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, the statement reads: “It has come to our attention that images, videos, and the cloned voice of Prof. Osinbajo are being used to deceptively promote products and services with which he has no affiliation.
“Specifically, one manipulated video shows him purportedly advertising hypertension medication, while another features an AI-generated voiceover promoting a fraudulent money-making scheme.
“We unequivocally state that these videos are fake and are being used to mislead the public. Prof. Osinbajo has not endorsed and is in no way connected to these products or schemes.
“The public is strongly advised to exercise caution and to verify the authenticity of any promotion or endorsement before engaging with it.
“Please disregard these malicious advertisements.”
