ILARO-YEWA, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – Political stalwarts and supporters of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriation, who is representing Ogun West at the National Assembly, on Saturday, August 10, 2024, gathered in the ancient town of Ilaro-Yewa, Ogun State, to celebrate his 55th birthday.

The event, dubbed “Surprise Birthday Bash,” was held at the ultra-modern Agunloye Pavilion, Empire Field, Ilaro-Yewa, and it was organized by the “Appreciation Birthday Contact Group”, consisting of friends, associates, and supporters from Ogun and Lagos States.

The gathering was a gesture of honour and appreciation for the significant constituency projects facilitated by Senator Adeola within and outside Ogun West.

The birthday celebrations also witnessed an empowerment programme which was sponsored by Yayi himself. A total of 1,222 individuals received various pieces of equipment to support their businesses.

The items distributed included deep freezers, grinding machines, sewing machines, cooking materials, hair dryer equipment, tricycles, mini buses, transformers, and generators.

Dignitaries spoke highly of Yayi’s contributions to his constituency and beyond.

Speaking on behalf of the Olu of Ilaro & Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle the Abepa of Joga-Orile, Oba Yemi Adekeye, disclosed that all the traditional rulers in Yewaland are solidly behind Senator Adeola Yayi over his giant strides at the National Assembly.

Oba Adekeye noted that the Senator representing Ogun West at the Upper Chamber has proved to be a responsible and reliable person that can further represent the region at the exalted position in Ogun State.

The Abepa of Joga-Orile on behalf of other monarchs in Yewaland congratulated Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola on the occasion of his 55th birthday anniversary.

He prayed that God give him many more years in good health to celebrate on earth for the benefit of humanity.

Oba Adekeye also used the occasion to commend Yayi for using his birthday to put smiles on the faces of his constituents by empowering them with different items.

Hon. (Dr.) Adejare who was the Chairman at the occasion praised the event organizers and guests for attending, despite the celebrant’s absence.

He acknowledged Senator Adeola’s love for his constituents and Ogun State and prayed for his continued good health and longevity.

Hon. Mufutau Ajibola, expressed gratitude for having Senator Solomon Adeola as a blessing to Yewaland and Ogun State, encouraging continued support for Yayi’s ambitions.

The former Chairman of SUBEB, Ogun State also congratulated Yayi on his 55th birthday, wishing him health and prosperity.

Alhaja (Chief) Mrs. Yemisi Abass, the Iyaloja of Yewaland described Yayi as a divine gift to Yewaland, praying for his health and long life to advance the region.

She thanked the event organizers and prayed for continued blessings and protection for them and their families.

Hon. Lai Taiwo, the Aare Onakakanfo of Aworiland, praised the unity and determination of Ogun West people.

He expressed confidence in Senator Olamilekan Adeola’s potential as a future governor and affirmed the support of Yewa and Awori people for his gubernatorial ambition.

Hon. (Dr.) Tunde Tella, representing Abeokuta North, assured that members of the Ogun State House of Assembly fully support Senator Adeola’s gubernatorial aspirations.
