ABEOKUTA, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA – In his characteristic display of respect for elders and constituted traditional authority, the distinguished senator representing Ogun West at the National Assembly, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola – popularly known as Yayi, joined hundreds of sons and daughters of Ogun State, alongside friends and well-wishers from across Nigeria, to felicitate with His Royal Majesty, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, CFR, Okukenu IV, the Alake of Egbaland, on the celebration of his 20th Coronation Anniversary on Sunday, November 16, 2025.
The Special Church Service and Grand Reception held in Abeokuta drew an impressive gathering of eminent personalities from across the country; all united in honour of the revered monarch’s two decades of exceptional leadership and dedicated service to humanity.
The calibre of dignitaries present further underscored the deep respect and national admiration Oba Gbadebo commands.
The atmosphere was one of unity, honour, and cultural pride, with Senator Adeola Yayi seen warmly exchanging greetings with dignitaries at the event.
Leading the list of dignitaries were former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo; former Ogun State Governors Chief Olusegun Osoba and Otunba Gbenga Daniel, now senator representing Ogun East; Senator Ibikunle Amosun; and Senator Salisu Afolabi Shuaib of Ogun Central.
Also in attendance was His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Kehinde Olugbenle, MFR, the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, who doubles as Chairman of the Ogun State Traditional Council, alongside numerous esteemed royal fathers.
The celebration stood as a fitting tribute to the legacy, leadership, and enduring influence of the Alake of Egbaland, marking twenty years of committed stewardship to his people and the nation at large.
